Ever wonder how or if you could add multiple site owners to a Google Webmaster Tools account for a particular website?  The answer is… YES.  Here is how Google Webmaster Blog answers the questions:
“Managing site verification for multiple site owners
Site verification in Webmaster Tools is based on Webmaster Tools accounts. If more than one person needs to view Webmaster Tools data for a given site, you have two options. You can:

“Now if you are still on the fence, let me just give you a bit of color. that we have looked at the rankings and the weights that we give to keyword domains, & some people have complained that we are giving a little too much weight for keywords in domains. So we have been thinking about at adjusting that mix a bit and sort of turning the knob down within the algorithm, so that given 2 different domains it wouldn’t necessarily help you as much to have a domain name with a bunch of keywords in it. – Matt Cutts”

Introduction to Google Instant

Introduction to Google Instant

As many of you fellow SEO Freaks out there already know, Google Instant launched this week and there is quite a bit of buzz centered around it.

In Search Engine Land’s article:  “SEO Is Here To Stay, It Will Never Die“, they discuss some of the buzz on the launch of Google Instant and whether it’s an “SEO killer”.  If you aren’t yet familiar with the new Google Instant service, I’ve included a video below which will catch you up to date.

While Google Instant has some really cool application possibilities, it is definitely not a “SEO killer“.  Search engine Land’s own response to this was:

“…No, Google Instant isn’t killing SEO. In fact, nothing’s going to kill SEO. I know there are a lot of SEO haters out there who wish this were so, but that hate comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of what SEO is about. If you misunderstand something so much as to hate it, you surely have no understanding about its future.

No, SEO is not about tricking search engines, nor spamming links, nor ruining web design. It’s about building good content, understanding the ways people might seek it — including the words they might use — and ensuring the content is search engine friendly along with being human friendly.”

“…Google Instant reemphasizes the need to do keyword research by examining suggestions, but that was already part of the SEO landscape for ages

What are your thoughts?

For good measure, I’ve thrown in one more demo of Google Instant:

Google Counts Page Load Speed

Well, many of you out there had already suspected this and any designer “worth their salt” knows to watch for this, page load speed matters!

Taken from sitepronews.com:

“Last week’s post about load speeds on Google’s Official Webmaster Central Blog finally confirmed the rumors which have abounded across the SEO sector for months – that Google now factors a site’s load-speed when assessing its search ranking.

And while this announcement, which comes as no surprise to those with their finger on the Google pulse, has drawn a few favorable responses from blog commenters, the overwhelming majority of readers have expressed concerns and doubts about the soundness of Google’s approach. At the forefront of these were questions primarily regarding the exact magnitude of any negative ranking impact carried by slow page loading speeds. ”

Now, there is still a bit of controversy of this suggested “Google factor”..but lets just say that if it was a “Google ranking factor”, it is but one of the various factors they use. In talking usability standard procedures… let’s make site’s timely people. :P

What are your thoughts on Page load Speed and Google Ranking?
